Splash Mountain
As I focused my lens on Splash Mountain, the highlight was capturing the exact moment when the logs plunged down the iconic final drop. People falling through the air, arms flailing and faces frozen in expressions of pure excitement (or panic), were nothing short of gold for a photographer. Each log had its own story—a mix of wide-open mouths, hands gripping the sides for dear life, and the occasional brave soul striking a dramatic pose for the camera.
The water cascading around them added to the drama, creating a perfect frame of motion and chaos. Some riders were clearly prepared, grinning with anticipation, while others had that unmistakable look of, “Why did I agree to this?” The energy was contagious, and every shot seemed to capture a small slice of the pure, unfiltered fun that Disneyland is all about.
It was more than just taking pictures—it felt like documenting the essence of the ride itself, a mix of thrills, laughter, and the joy of letting go, even for just a moment. Watching them fall, I couldn’t help but smile, knowing my kid would have a similar expression when it was their turn!
