Space Mountain
My first trip to Disneyland Tokyo with my trusty 135mm lens turned out to be a fantastic opportunity for some creative photography, especially while killing time in the queue for Space Mountain. For a ride known for its thrilling darkness, the surrounding area offers a surprisingly rich palette of light, color, and motion to capture. The Space Mountain queue itself offered some unique photographic opportunities. The futuristic architecture, glowing blue and white lights, and intricate details of the ride’s exterior created a sci-fi ambiance that was irresistible to shoot. The curved structures and reflections played beautifully with the shallow depth of field, turning ordinary moments into abstract compositions. By the time the ride itself arrived, I almost forgot I was in line for an adrenaline rush—I was already having a creative one with my camera. For a first visit with a 135mm lens, I’d say the results weren’t too bad at all!
