Kagurazaka, located in central Tokyo near Iidabashi, is a charming neighborhood that beautifully blends traditional Japanese culture with a touch of European flair. Known for its narrow, cobblestone streets and hidden alleys, the area was once a thriving geisha district, and it still retains a nostalgic atmosphere with its historic ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurants) and occasional sightings of geisha. Kagurazaka is also famous for its French influence, with many French bakeries, cafes, and bistros reflecting the area’s international character. Visitors can explore small boutiques, savor local delicacies like taiyaki and wagashi, or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll through its quaint streets. With its mix of old and new, Japanese tradition and European charm, Kagurazaka is a delightful spot for those looking to experience a quieter, more sophisticated side of Tokyo.
