Musée du Louvre
The Musée du Louvre, an iconic symbol of art and culture, stands proudly in the heart of Paris along the banks of the Seine. Housed in a grand former royal palace, its glass pyramid entrance glints against the historic architecture, offering a striking blend of the modern and the classic.
During my military service, I had the privilege of free entrance to this incredible museum, which led to dozens of visits. I grew to love the place deeply, especially the sculptures from all ages—they never ceased to amaze me. From ancient Greek masterpieces like the Venus de Milo to the intricate works of the Renaissance, each piece seemed to have a soul and story of its own.
Wandering through the galleries, I was captivated not only by the sculptures but also by the atmosphere of the Louvre itself. It’s not just a museum—it’s a journey through history and creativity, a space that always left me inspired. Even after so many visits, I always found something new to admire, and it remains one of my favourite places in the world.
