The RF50mm f/1.2L is good but on the large side. So when I need to travel light, I use the RF50mm f/1.8 instead, a much smaller and lighter lens which still gives decent results on static subjects. Three food examples here.

Picking up Omikuji at the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja (北口本宮冨士浅間神社) or Sengen Jinja for short. Beautiful light for the early afternoon.

Snowboard is certainly a way for young women in Japan to display their color coordination and makeup skills – not so much their snowboard skills :)
Lens Flare
When the sun hits the glass of the lens directly, colors are subdued, contrasts drops and flares appear. The resulting atmosphere just looks nice for some subjects, like this temple I think.
Sunny Day
After a long walk to the library, playing in the nearby park, the best way to end a lovely autumn day is to have some quality Lego time. I’m glad my kids also enjoy their Lego sets.
