Shibuya Crossing Girl
Took the Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 out for another spin, keeping it wide open at f/1.2 in daylight thanks to an ND4 filter. This time, I focused on moving subjects in the lively streets of Shibuya. The shallow depth of field was incredible for isolating individuals in the chaos, especially the last person crossing—it’s where the lens truly shines, drawing your eye to that perfect subject while everything else melts into buttery bokeh. The challenge of timing the focus as people moved added a layer of fun, and the lens’s precision didn’t disappoint. Neon signs, blurred crowds, and dynamic city energy all combined to create shots that felt alive yet intimate. This lens really transforms a bustling environment into a scene with depth and character.
