Taipei from Above
Stunning view of Taipei on my way back from Kaohsiung. At the bottom right, you can clearly see Taipei 101. Would have been a perfect picture without the smudge on the window!
Taipei, the vibrant capital of Taiwan, is a dynamic city that seamlessly blends modern innovation with rich cultural heritage. Known for its iconic landmark, Taipei 101, one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world, the city offers stunning panoramic views alongside modern shopping and dining experiences. Taipei’s streets are a food lover’s paradise, with bustling night markets like Shilin and Raohe serving local delicacies such as beef noodle soup, bubble tea, and stinky tofu. The city’s cultural side shines through historic sites like Longshan Temple, a beautiful example of traditional Taiwanese architecture, and the National Palace Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of Chinese art and artifacts. Nestled among lush green mountains, Taipei also offers natural escapes such as Elephant Mountain’s hiking trails and Beitou’s relaxing hot springs. With its friendly locals, diverse attractions, and vibrant atmosphere, Taipei is a captivating city that offers something for every kind of traveler.
