Gunma

Gunma, located northwest of Tokyo in Japan’s Kanto region, is a beautiful destination known for its natural hot springs, stunning landscapes, and outdoor activities. The prefecture is home to famous onsen towns like Kusatsu Onsen, celebrated for its mineral-rich waters and traditional charm. Nature lovers will find plenty to explore, from the hiking trails and ski resorts of Minakami and Mt. Tanigawa to the serene marshlands of Oze National Park, which bloom with seasonal flowers. Gunma also offers year-round adventures, including trekking, rafting, and skiing, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The local cuisine, featuring specialties like yaki manju (grilled sweet buns), adds to its appeal.
