Takaragawa Onsen

Back at Takaragawa Onsen, home to the largest outdoor bath in Japan—this time with lots of snow, making it even more magical! My brother and I had the place almost entirely to ourselves, though I think he was a little disappointed with the lack of company.

Shooting these photos was an adventure in itself—I was completely naked, moving between baths in -10°C weather. It was freezing but totally worth it to capture the serene beauty of this onsen in winter. Next up: pictures from inside the bath!
