Hokkaido Hills
On our way back from Furano, we stopped by to buy some melons and witnessed the sun playing hide and seek with the clouds and casting beautiful shadows on the nearby hills.
Pictures from my travels in Japan and around the World.

Very colorful and busy Tanukikoji Shopping Street in Sapporo. Tanukikoji is a 1km-long arcade with around 200 shops which be used regardless of the weather (read, even in winter). The arcade was developed during the frontier period around 1870.
After the nice panorama from the tower, the Sapporo TV Tower itself.
Hello ANA, long time no see. By the way, I am now tagging the photos with the lens I used. Should give you a good idea of their performance in real life.
Been a long while, well 20 months exactly, since I had a chance to fly. Not going half-way around the world to meet colleagues this time – I miss you guys – just a short hop to Hokkaido for vacation.
Cape Kamui is located in the Shakotan peninsula, East of Otaru. The two hours drive from Sapporo offers some breathtaking views of the coast. Once there, you will be greeted with a a large parking area, one restaurant, a few vending machines (this is Japan after all) and some restrooms – which may come handy…
A cute cow from Hokkaido. I was born in Normandy and spent ~20 years of my life there. Many aspects of Hokkaido reminds me of Normandy. For instance, this cow. Funny to see my kids being scared, complaining about the smell. They need to get out of the city more often!
The Japanese countryside offers the same views and Hokkaido is no exception: dying little villages.
Driving in the relaxing nature of Hokkaido can be very relaxing. I enjoy it very much.
The Sapporo TV Tower, built in 1957, is a 147m high TV tower with an observation deck at a height of 90m. It offers a great view of Sapporo. Going up is not free though. Those were shot with the RF24-240mm.
