Cape Kamui is located in the Shakotan peninsula, East of Otaru. The two hours drive from Sapporo offers some breathtaking views of the coast. Once there, you will be greeted with a a large parking area, one restaurant, a few vending machines (this is Japan after all) and some restrooms – which may come handy after a long drive. You cannot miss the starting point of the path and walking to the end takes about 15min. Be careful with the weather though, it can be extremely windy.
Takaragawa Onsen boasts the largest open-air bath in Japan and is a mixed Onsen!
